About Jordan
Hi there! My name is Jordan Reid and I enjoy all things media.
My passion for this type of work started when I was a kid. I loved borrowing my cousin’s digital camera and taking pictures during family events. That evolved to me taking pictures on my own camera. I’ve always gravitated towards taking pictures of people. It’s my favorite type of photography. I love getting candid photos and trying to make them as natural as possible.
On top of photography, I also enjoy video production and editing. So much so that I teach it! I am an Advanced TV Broadcasting facilitator to high school students. I love everything that comes with video and TV broadcasting — from the planning, writing, recording, to editing. I’ll take video in the form of a camcorder or a studio set any day! I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to play around with all sorts of broadcasting and video roles, including being a news producer at a couple of local news stations.
The one thing that I think connects my love to these mediums is the act of storytelling. I love hearing others’ stories and I love being able to share them even more. By taking pictures and producing videos, I am getting to do just that. It’s a rewarding feeling and I hope that the people I work with feel a little bit of the excitement I feel when I create content with them.
